THE HOLIDAY CLUB PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS


EFT Payments:

  1. You must quote your Holiday Club Account Number in the reference space. Payment cannot be allocated to your account without this.

  2. Your booking is provisional for 2 working days. Should payment not reflect in our bank account within this period, the booking will automatically be cancelled.

  3. Warning: Bank deposits can take up to 5 working days before the money reflects on our system. Proof of payment must be emailed to us at assist@theholidayclub.com, or faxed to us at 0861 329 842

  4. Due to clearance delays, cheque deposits cannot be accepted.

Credit Card Payments:

  1. The full payment is due immediately by Visa, or MasterCard,

  2. The Holiday Club is a South African company and all transactions are processed in South African Rands. Therefore conversion charges may be levied by your merchant bank if payment is made from another country and/or in another currency other than South Africa. This fee is driven by the global treasury of the applicable credit card and is impacted by the change in daily exchange rates.


Arrears

1. If there is an arrears amount on any of your accounts, your booking will only be confirmed as a provisional

booking until the arrears amount has been settled. This applies if you have paid by credit card or EFT. Please check your Account Page or your Reservation/Combined Statement


Services Rendered:

  1. It is to be understood that any payments made via The Holiday Club website are for The Holiday Club related services, fees, rental options, travel and other related costs. For more information on The Holiday Club services and related costs, please visit The Holiday Club website.



Return/Refund Policy (Cancellations):

1. POINTS - LOCAL RESERVATIONS

  • If the reservation is cancelled within 8-10 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the Points value of this reservation.

  • If cancelled within 0-8 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the Points value of this reservation.

  • If the reservation was originally made with Points that would have expired but for this reservation, and the reservation is subsequently cancelled, then these Points will expire.


2. POINTS - INTERNATIONAL RESERVATIONS

  • If the reservation is cancelled more than 10 weeks from occupation date, 100% of the Points value of this reservation will be refunded.

  • If cancelled within 6-10 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the Points value of this reservation.

  • If cancelled within 3-6 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 75% of the Points value of this reservation.

  • If cancelled within 0-3 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the Points value of this reservation.

  • If the reservation was originally made with Points that would have expired but for this reservation, and the reservation is subsequently cancelled, then these Points will expire.

  • Cancelled reservations have a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the exchange fee. The difference between the original exchange fee and the applicable cancellation fee will reflect as a credit on your account. Credits are only refunded on request, subject to receipt of a completed Refund of Payment Form. Credits will be refunded within 21 working days.


3. RENTAL (LOCAL & INTERNATIONAL RESERVATIONS)

  • If the reservation is cancelled within 6-10 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the rental fee paid.

  • If cancelled within 3-6 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 75% of the rental fee paid.

  • If cancelled within 0-3 weeks from occupation date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the rental fee paid.

  • Any difference between the original rental fee and the applicable cancellation fee will reflect as a credit on your account. Credits are only refunded on request, subject to receipt of a completed Refund of Payment Form. Credits will be refunded within 21 working days.


Privacy:

  1. The Holiday Club will not give your personal information to any other person without your personal knowledge and agreement. However, you do consent for The Holiday Club to provide your personal information to its leisure partners for the purposes of contacting you or your guests, by mail or electronically, with related product information and also promotional offers. Should you not wish to be contacted, please advise us in writing.

  2. When you contact The Holiday Club by telephone, or The Holiday Club contacts you, the call may be recorded for quality and security purposes without you being necessarily advised thereof.

  3. To protect your personal information, one of our consultants will need to verify your identity before we are able to provide you with your Membership details or allow you to transact on The Holiday Club Network. You are encouraged to keep your Membership number and password safe.

  4. Unless we receive the original prescribed letter of authority from you, allowing a nominated person to make enquiries or transact on your personal account, we reserve the right to refuse to divulge your personal information to a third person or allow them to transact on your account.

Security:

  1. www.theholidayclub.co.za is encrypted with 128-bit encryption. The connection uses TLS1.0. The connection is encrypted using AES_128_CBC, with SHA1 for message authentication and RSA as the key mechanism. The site does not use SSL. The identity of this website has been verified by Thawte SSL CA.
